I was a noisy, dirty child whose pockets bulged with agates and quartz. It’s hard to imagine that I would find an occupation to put that experience to such good use.

I moved to Colorado in 1973 and wandered into a hand-made jewelry shop with a workbench out front. I had no idea real people (outside of factories) made jewelry, and I fell in love with the tools. I was less than truthful about my age and experience - and the store hired me as an apprentice.

Frustrated and impatient with job limitations, I opened my own studio two years later. I built my first workbench, made some tools and began to really learn about metal and gemstones. I was noisy and dirty again, but soon I had work accepted into my first juried art show.

My Fine Art Jewelry has been shown in galleries in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Santa Fe, Dallas, Chicago, Seattle, Houston, Detroit, Taos, and in my own Denver gallery for over 25 years. Currently my work may be seen at Show of Hands Gallery in Denver, and online at Etsy.

I live at Infinity Farm, a small rancho on the Colorado prairie. My family includes a husband, horses, donkeys, llamas, goats, dogs, cats, and a few ducks. I divide my time between my studio -goldsmithing and writing, and my barn -training horses and riders. Life is good.
